Worplesdon/Woking/Guildford primaries

Hello

We are contemplating a move to Worplesdon from SW London and I need advice on state primaries (and secondaries after that in case we can't afford private by then). Some previous threads I have looked at are a few years old and possibly out of date so would be super grateful for some local, more recent insights from lovely mums in the area.

I am thinking academically and socially for us and our DD - we'd love to find somewhere for her where she and we could make new friends and thrive. She's 7 and would be in Year 2. We are not Catholic.

Worplesdon Primary? Burpham Foundation Primary? (is that wishful thinking?), Brookwood Primary? Weyfield? Barnsbury?

We haven't had time to drive around all of them but saw Worplesdon and it had a bit of an estate-y vibe due to the location, or is that unfair? I also saw attendance has been a problem at some other schools, doesn't sound great...

Any insights gratefully received! Thanks Vx

Hi OP,

I live pretty around where you're looking. I'd focus on secondary schools at this stage and work backwards from there.

If you're undecided about state/private at 11, you'll need to hedge your bets and be in the catchment for a state school (or schools) you'd want to apply for and also accessible if you need transport if you go independent at secondary.

Feel free to pm me if you'd like to.
