My 8yr old daughter has recently been confirmed as dyslexic. I’m really just looking for advice on any apps, websites that I can use at home with her to work alongside the support she will get in school.
She has also asked for chrome book for Xmas and school head has said this may be beneficial. If so can anyone recommend one suitable for her age?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry just off to bed but I have a 12 year old son with dyslexia and recommend ‘Toe by Toe’ and an ACE dictionary.

They are books I should have said. I know you said apps/websites but these have been great for us.

My daughters are being screened next week so I haven't hit as far as apps etc but we bought them both acer chrome books can't remember which ones but they were about £180.

They're great but my only complaint is that if you use the google family link to control kids accounts you can't grant them access to ANY apps which is completely pointless. You can't have a gmail address under a certain age and you have to have a google mail account to get to google play. I've set up a second account that has all the apps they need so you can work around it.

Thanks for your replies, I’ll check out the books now for her and that’s a good tip to keep in mind for the Chromebook access x
