Primary school for commutation delayed kids/ Wandsworth

Hi ,
I am looking for primary school (reception class) for my DD who has communication delayed. We would like to send her to school where caring and nurturing and provides some support if she needs one. We have looked at Broomwood , Wandsworth prep , Parkgate house and Dolphin house . All said they can provide help with extra cost! (they didn't tell us how extra would be!)
Do you have any experience with these schools ? Do you recommend any of them for kid with special education need?
any thoughts ?

I would really look at state schools as they are so much better for children with additional needs and support is funded. Wandsworth will fund £1000 a term for inclusion and you could also apply for an EHCP. Rutherford House is very good at supporting children. If you want to go the independent route, Finton House is well know for supports children but they will charge extra.

Unfortunately, the state schools around us are not good and the others we are not in their catchment areas . Finton house was full and there is not any space available for next September.

Hillbrook has an excellent sen department? I know a lot about the Balham/Tooting Bec schools - if that’s useful them do PM me.

I don't know the area but as an SEN professional and an SEN mum can I just say - a 'good' school for a child with SEN is often not at all the same thing as a 'good school' for children without SEN. In fact ofsted outstanding - because that grading tends to be academically based - are often really not at all 'good' for our kids.

I agree oldbirdy. That is why I am looking for a school with a good SEN . although ,I think she might be academically good because she has already learned phonics and started to read and write but I am not sure
