What to wear on taster day?

My DC are going for a taster day at a local independent school. They are year 3 and higher. What should they wear, I was thinking of sending them in their current school uniform rather than muffty. Would that be inappropriate?

At the independent school I used to work at students on taster days always wore their current school uniform.
