Can’t decide. Anyone got any advice; especially anyone been through St Hugh’s?

My colleague's son is at St. Hugh's in his last year. He seems happy there but has a very "entitled" attitude (that could be down to his parents though!) I went to The Manor Prep (I'm now 42) and absolutely loved it. Have you looked round the schools?

I have. Love The Manor but have a boy and thought it’d be nice and easier to go to the same. Also like the idea of both staying until 13. The comment you made is one I was worried about 😬

What age does The Manor go up to for boys these days? I don't know anyone who has gone to Abingdon Schoo Prep (it was Joscas in my day)but if you want him to go to the senior school it would make sense.

We are at Abingdon Senior and it takes boys from the prep at 13 and will eventually take boys from the Manor at 11. We know boys who have come through the prep and from other local schools.

The prep is well regarded and has an advantage in that you will now usually be spared the stress of everything hinging on Common Entrance. Look into that. The Manor is only now starting to take boys all the way to 11 so perhaps a bit of uncertainty especially with a new head. But we know families with girls who have been very happy with it.

No idea about St H but have you looked at Chandlings? A strong record of entrance to good local schools and I have high regard for the new Head there.
