Thoughts on Southbank International School?

I have looked through old threads on the reputation of Southbank International School but haven't found much information, other than the safeguarding issue of some years ago and the fact that it is a less coveted school than ASL. Would any current parents be able to share if their children have been happy at the primary school? (asking for my DD age 6). Is the quality of teaching good and is it a nurturing school? Is there much difference between the Hampstead and Kensington campus?

Thank you!

Dear Meera1
I have three children who have been going to Southbank. It is their 5th year. My two youngest are going to Kensington campus so I do not know about Hampstead. My oldest is going to Westminster campus which starts at 6th grade (year 7). Southbank is a very open-minded community of very diverse people being the staff and the students, as well as the parents. It is a caring and welcoming community which is important for families who have to move quite often. It teaches from very early on to be critical, to ask questions, to be independent. I am happy to say that all my children became independent thinker, ask questions, do research, are very open minded.
To show you how caring the school is, I have one child who is particularly shy. All of her teachers have been working really hard to help develop her confidence. The progress has been remarkable. She is not an extrovert but she feels much more inclined to express her opinion in front of a group and speak in a town meeting. In addition, I have been really impressed by how knowledgeable each teacher has been of each of my children. They know them academically but also in terms of their personality. It is quite special.
If I had to give only three top qualities for this school is that it is

  1. Open 2) Warm 3)Make children be Curious Hope this is helpful!
