Top schools in Kingston and surbiton

Hello parents,

My husband and I are looking for schools for our twins. We currently live central London and the state schools in our area are not very good.

We are looking to move further west between April-June 2019 in time for Sep 2020 intake.

I absolutely loved Sheen mount primary school and Vineyard school but the area is still very expensive. We thought of looking once again a little further.

We have friends that live in surbiton and they talk highly of the great transportation links in the area. But they have chosen to send their kids to private schools.

Any suggestion on great school in surbiton? We are also considering Kingston too as have family there but none have kids that go to state schools.

Happy for any other recommendations of areas that have great state primary schools and good commute into London. We tend to work in Liverpool st and Canary Wharf. (Unfortunately we are not keen on Essex region even though that would be the closest to work).

Many thanks,

RJ

All the state schools in Kingston/Surbiton/esher/Cobham etc are good. Look at the private secondaries & you will see what a large intake comes from the state sector across Greater London, Middlesex & Surrey. Finding a house you want in catchment for twins is a far harder proposition with The Vineyard & Sheen Mount probably the most impossible. Start with all the state schools in Surbiton & move out depending on your budget ie New Malden v Thames Ditton etc.
