This is a bit long and not all to do with education but we are council tenants and we are living in a small town with not great transport links (don't drive) and not much for children to do. My dd just started reception and after I applied for her place it was marked as inadequate by Ofsted and is now going through the process of becoming an academy. We have got a opportunity to swap with a property in Chadwell Heath. The area is very different to where we are and the flat is on the high road so very very busy. The schools are on average marked as good and the property has a huge garden which we don't have now and great transport links but ultimately not where I want to stay as a forever home! Would you stay in the smaller town and hope and wait for somewhere ideal to come up or would you take the flat and then try and swap again to an area we would like to stay in? It would obviously mean that there could be multiple changes in her school and I really don't want to affect her education but want the best life for them x
