Maths workbooks for 7 year old

I’d like to get some workbooks for my daughter to support her Maths, just checking to see if anyone has any opinion on the Kumon books or are there better out there? She doesn’t struggle to badly but I think a small bit of extra work more regularly than her weekly homework could really help her. TIA X

Have you spoken to her teacher? I always recommend that parents do things like helping their child tell the time using a proper analogue watch, and calculate time differences, can add and subtract in the context of money using a range of coins, can identify 3D shapes in real life contexts, know their times tables and associated division facts, understand relationships between numbers e.g. If 14 + 3 = 17 then 140+30=170. Knew what units to measure things in, length, capacity, mass etc.

We love CGP books! They're on Amazon, you can select them according to Year.

Soon is spot on - tables and telling the time in particular are the ones I always recommend for kids to work on at home.

Thanks All. I haven’t spoken to her new teacher just yet but I’ll get a chance to next week and see what she says. Thanks for the suggestions re learning ideas and the CGP books which I’ll definitely take on board. She’s not the best at memorising the times tables when she has to know the 6’s and 7’s for example, at the same time. Any miracles to help with this?!
