I have 2 sons ages 8 and 10 who really need extra help with school. I know people will suggest I help them however I’m a single mum working 3 jobs so really struggle to find the time. Are there any online tutoring services or programs that I can use for math and English help?

Doodlemaths and Doodlemaths Tables. Expensive for an app but interactive and cheaper than a tutor. Really helped my DD. They’re bringing out DoodleEnglish this year which we’ll probably try out for spelling and grammar.

Also look at Khan Academy website for maths which is free. And free for spelling and vocabulary is FreeRice.com. Another great free app is Bedtime Maths.

Squeebles apps come in a package and are quite fun, although we haven’t got on well with the spelling one.

Lastly if you think Dyslexia might be an issue look at Nessy.com or Dyslexiagold websites.

Good luck

I second the khan academy for maths. The tutorial videos are excellent. Also grammar section is great with fun tutorial videos. And it's totally free.

Freerice is great too, not just give children great learning, you can help save people from starvation since you can donate rice by just answering a question.(Donation is done by their sponsor, not you.), and it's a site run by United Nations World Food Programme.
Vocabulary section is great, but also they have times table section which might be helpful to your dc's age range.

For paid sites, I recommend IXL. It's tedious and repetitive, but follows NC, and relatively cheap. (£99 for a year, for both English and maths. They may have family rate for multiple children. You can access all the contents from reception to yr13. Though it's not a teaching site.)

My son loves Maths Whizz and in my opinion it's really good.
