Has your school been involved in anything particularly exciting? Ours have done green Blue Peter badges, microscope hire and 30 Days Wild, but I'd love suggestions as to what really added to your dc experience in primary school?

I've been reading up on The Daily Mile, and wondering whether there'd be some resistance from school as to the logistics. How is it arranged in your school?

Properly run sports teams, art being taken seriously, music tuition, choirs and orchestra, drama, inspiring trips, events where the school celebrates a theme, eg Italy Day: food, music, a few Italian words, History, geography and cities, artists etc.

My dd's primary school has a Le Club Français language club. Loads of the kids love it. Drama and choir are also popular and properly run sports teams :-)

Daily mile happens when the kids are lined up to go into school and they just start the walk (parents off sight) but you could include parents!

Our school also does armonico

QuickWash · 21/08/2018 12:20

Ah, our school don't line up, but maybe it could be a before school thing?

What's armonico?

Young Voices at the O2 but they do them at other arenas nationally. The whole junior school takes part which is a great experience.
