When does my 30hrs funding end?

Hi All, I've searched & cant see an exact topic the same as this one. Apologies if I've missed it.
My boy turned 4 in April & starts F2 in September.
Both myself & husband work full time & are entitled to the 30hrs childcare.
When exactly does this entitlement end?
I've seen sites saying it ends when he starts in September, but others saying it continues until he turns 5 next April.
Any experience on this would be great to help me to budget correctly for September.
Thanks in advance Grin

Well you’ll be getting it in the form of free schooling when he starts in September. You don’t get childcare on top of that. You’d only continue to get it if he didn’t start full time school.

I claimed dd’s funding (was 15 hours then) until end of term after she was 5 but she was in a private primary. School knocked it off the fees. Summer born had the subsidy all reception year. They also accepted childcare vouchers towards fees until they were legal school age.
