Recommendations for School Uniform

Does anyone have any recommendations for decent school uniform? Something hardwearing that washes well?

Was thinking Sainsbury's but looking to canvass opinions...

Thanks

ecooutfitters are the only ones without polyester/plastic (m&s skinkind are sold out in many sizes). hard wearing, and doesn't feel like a binliner (unlike most supermarket uniform)

M&S are my fave! Washes well and nice traditional designs Smile

Both our Lidl and Asda uniforms did well this year. Tesco sweatshirts shrink so go a size up

I like Asda for things like pinafores and trousers (they do soft jersey girls ones that are easier to get on and off). Their coloured polo multipacks they do online have washed well without fading too (our uniform's red so can fade like buggery). Cardies... think this year's tended to come from Tesco and have stood up OK.

I just pick bits up all over the place really though - bulk came from Asda.

Asda polo shirts are great, quality is much better than you might expect for the price and because they're so cheap I didn't stress when DS came home covered in pen/lunch/general dirt - just binned them and replaced. Think they're a two pack for £2.50 and would definitely recommend them.
We've had shorts and trousers from Sainsburys which were fine but prefer M&S because they do a slim or skinny fit which looks better on my DS. Wouldn't recommend Asda trousers, I found they went bobbly quickly and just didn't last as well as others.

Thanks all, have had some non-Mumsnet recommendations for M&S too so will have a look there but will try Asda for the polo shorts.

Asda are my #1 now after trying from everywhere.

I think the m & s stay white polo's with stain prevention have been the best this year, but I do have a very messy boy who comes home looking like I've sent him down the pit. These have come up the best with vanish for whites. I also like m & s slim fitting trousers and next slim fitting shorts (no silly pockets). M & s school socks have also been good. The Asda ones are good for the price, but don't look as good as the m & s ones in my opinion.

Asda also do a 5 pack of polos for like £7 ish online only - but you can click and collect them into stores. I get a set of them per child and that does last them the year, even with collateral damage from whiteboard pens etc.
