What are the average yr 5 pira / Puma scores required for selective secondary schools?

Pira/puma assessments are not required by secondary schools.
They are an optional assessment tool used by only some primary schools.

As an indicator of a child’s ability to get into a selective school? I’d suggest in the high 120s depending on how selective the school is. We take 102 as the minimum score for an expected child to get. Also I’d take an average across the three tests over the year as we find results can vary quite a bit

Thanks that's exactly the info I was looking for. DD is 125/120 /123 over the year so a bit of a boost over the summer will hopefully get her to where she needs to be. I want to be realistic about schools we apply for & this info helps. Thanks

Hope she does well

Do your school give out the results to everyone, or did you have to ask?

Just as I know the DC's school does the tests, but we've never been given results, but I'm happy to ask for similar reasons. (Albeit, DC's school is notoriously cagey about these sort of things).

Thanks Questions.
Onemouse, we get given the score every term. It's very helpful to see progression. But knowing what level senior schools are looking for is even more useful! some schools want a higher attainment standard than others so it's a useful gauge.
