Greenwich in year primary admissions

Hi

I’ve just got a job in London and we are planning to move to Greenwich or Blackheath from Australia. My kids are 6 and 8. We have flexibility where we can live to get close to the right school. Can anyone suggest great schools that are likely to have space fit in year admissions in year 1/2 and year 3.

Anyone who has feedback on Invicta, Halstow, millennium, meridian, Brooklands. We are catholic so also interested in views on Our lady of grace and St Joseph’s.

Hi @Shanna01, all the schools you mention have good results and a good reputation. However most of these are over-subscribed and you may not get in-year places right away. Halstow and Brooklands are significantly over-subscribed and the waiting list barely moves. Millennium I hear is over-subscribed in the years you are looking at, especially Y1. Invicta, Meridian, John Ball and James Wolfe are likely to have in-year places - of course these are just assumptions and you will need to check with the school to truly understand the situation for each year.

Another option is to look at a private school to complete the year and move in the new year. This will also help the children settle into a new curriculum faster.
