Hi dear parents. My child is soon finishing school nursery and will go to Reception. My question is what can we gift his teachers. He has 6 teachers and I don’t want to break the bank account either 😬 please help

Nice note to each.
Pack of glue sticks for the classroom Grin

I agree, nice card with personal message. No presents needed.

A note is plenty but if you really want to get a little gift I'd go with a nice box of biscuits to share while planning next term. Or a small box of chocolates each (poundland do after eight mints, malteasers etc which would be plenty). I personally really hate plants as a gift, my fingers are definitely not green so they die and I feel guilty.

Aww thanks for that everyone. I think I will go for cards and chocolate 😊

my girls got some little 6x4 canvases from the works very cheaply and drew pictures of the individual nursery staff on them, the staff loved put them up in the hallway

Mine are making cards (I bought some card blanks) and we made jam together.

We always used to give them a big box of biscuits to have with their morning coffee. Was a popular present Grin

i used to get a £5 voucher for costa coffe/Nero/Starbucks/pret (depending on what one I was closest too) and give that to the teacher with a card to have a cake and coffee with.

Last school day for my youngest I bought a bay tree for the 1 teacher who had over the years taught all of mine and had been amazing for them all. (she liked trees and I knew had just moved and was resorting her patiogarden area ) she cried she was that touched. However rare I would spend that much on a teacher present. She however deserved it.

A note and a box of biscuits for all the staff is plenty

I’m a teacher and with the huge financial pressure on schools, most of my colleagues and I buy our own stationary as well as reading books for the children. So if I could suggest anything, it’d be £5 worth of pencil sharpeners, coloured pencils, whiteboard pens or glue sticks. Even something as simple as a pack of multicoloured card is a godsend

Aww thanks for your suggestions everyone. I decided to give cards and a small chocolate box. But I really like your idea Dawny1234 will definitely do that the next year.
