Hello. Did anyone win an appeal for primary reception class whn there were 30 children admitted?

Hello, my child is on a waiting list and I was wondering if anyone had won an appeal while all 30 children have been already admitted for the reception class. If so, would you kindly share your experience and you thoughts what helped you. Ta.

Had our appeal on the 10th of July and am awaiting the result and probably wont hear until the end of next week. I would advise you to make sure you plan your answers for the appeal panel and the L.E.A. For example the reasons you give for wanting that particular school you must be able to validate your answers and be prepared for a grilling by the panel and the school. The panel I felt were approachable but its best to be prepared with answers you anticipate they are going to ask you. It was not so bad as I Had read the book by Ben Rooney How to win your School Appeal. I also thought about some possible questions the school and panel might ask. Hope your appeal goes well. I do not hold much hope for us for our appeal as there were 11 going for the appeal. Best wishes. cairde
