Y2 DD Anxiety issues?

Last half term DD felt nauseous most days, she ended up having 10 full days off school plus a couple of early pick ups. She had a vomiting bug the first day back so was off the first 3 days, she then got a water infection which cleared up after a weeks worth of anti biotics. Then she got another stomach bug so had another 3 days off. In between times she has cried every morning saying she felt sick but was ok within herself, laughing, playing normally, doing the splits etc so we've sent her to school.

We've been to the docs several times who, just before half term, have referred her to the local childrens surgery at Hospital as they cannot see any reason why she was still feeling sick.

We've just had half term and she's been completely fine, no complaints of feeling ill back to her usual self. This evening I've put her to bed and asked if she's ready to go back to school tomorrow, within 5 mins she started complaining of feeling sick and tummy ache.

To me it seems the issue is with school but when questioned she says there is nothing wrong, she has a lovely group of friends and does well at school. I'm at a loss as to what it could be and I'm dreading school drop off tomorrow. I'm fully expecting tears and it breaks my heart making her go in.

Any ideas as to what could be going on?

It does sound like anxiety :(. Perhaps it's just temporary relating to her bout of illnesses? Have you spoken to her teacher?

I've been into the office to make an appointment today, just waiting to hear back from her Teacher. She was grabbing hold of me and refusing to go in today, I hadto leave her with a member if staff, it was heartbreaking.Sad

Year 2 were doing SATS last half term. How aware has she been of that? Could that have triggered the anxiety?

We were wondering if it could have been SATs, she was worried when they were first mentioned a few months back but we told her as long as she did her best that's all that matters and she calmed down with it all. She said they weren't bothering her but the problems only started last half term. She didn't think they were finished but she has been told they've finished today so tomorrow will be very telling.
