Hi! We are planning to buy a house in Chislehurst, but we have some concerns about the level of primary schools. What do you think about local primary schools? Also do you consider Chislehurst a safe place? As safe as Beckenham or Orpington. As there were some recent reports about burglaries in the area.

I'm not sure about primary schools (apart from St Nicholas church school which is meant to be good but only 1 form entry) but I do know that Secondary schools can be a problem.

Chislehurst Girls (previously Beaverwood) and Coopers don't have the greatest reputation and a lot of children travel to the Bexley Grammars which is only ok if you pass the 11+.

Personally, I would say it's much safer than Bromley or Orpington but it does have some lovely, large, expensive houses which do, of course, attract burglars. That said, there was a guy with a gun earlier in the week but everyone local was saying "What, in Chislehurst??" Which shows how out of character it is!!

Any questions, please ask.
