Am I right to complain to school about this?

We live in a lovely cul de sac that backs onto my children's school. Alongside the school is a gully where the children often play. One old lady who lives next to gully and next to playing field of school accused DS 11 and his friends of damaging some hawthorns she had planted in the gully (not her land ) to deter burglers. She didn't see them just heard them
DS and mates said they didn't break anything and you can't see any branches broken etc.
I have told them not to go over that area again .

Today DS and mates had golden play at school and playing on the school field next to the fence which is next to her house. She was going in her front door and started saying "what are you doing "DS says "nothing" and then she starts on "you never doing anything are you!" etc

I was so annoyed about this I went straight to headmistress after school, who is not happy about it either and said that she will take it further.
If she does it again son is go straight to a teacher or dinner lady.
This woman's grandson goes to the school as well.

Not sure if I have done the right thing, but don't want son harrassed at school. Any one know what action the school will take?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's out of your hands now.

Well if the Head took it seriously then you did the right thing. Not sure that the school can do anything else unless it happens again, but you have made them aware that someone is bothering the kids and thats all you can do.
