Transition

I'm thinking of asking DS school for the information they are going to pass onto his high school as part of transition. Has anyone else done this, and was the information useful as a parent? DS has anxiety and I just want to know what info the primary school pass on, so I know if I need to speak to someone from the high school separately. We've not had a good experience with regards to the Primary helping him with anxiety and I'm hoping he can get off to a better start at the high school. TIA

I would think it would be better to speak to the secondary school SENCO separately, regardless of what the primary school is passing on.

I agree with Red . Don't ask the primary, write / talk direct with the secondary yourself. At primary I used to do an info sheet for each class teacher at the start of the year, and then I did one for form tutor when they started secondary. (SpLD & adopted)

Thank you- yes, I'll speak to the secondary school. Then I'll know exactly where I stand. I suppose I was concerned that the primary school might not of mentioned anything, but I guess it doesn't matter.
