Would you recommend Letts or Bonds books (verbal and non verbal reasoning for an 9 year old? Should we start with level 7-8 or 8-9? This is all new to both of us.

Have no idea(have seen both being recommended), but let the child have a look inside at the book shop and choose? That way, you can also determine the level where the child should start.

Is this for the 11+ exams??? because I am in the same boat....no idea which to buy. going to ask his teacher once sats are over (its a mixed class).

From what I gather it depends on whether you need CEM or GL tests (sorry they may be the wrong letters). Our grammar school does GL tests.... so no idea which to buy....lol

and no idea on which age to buy..... why is it such a minefield, all I want is for my ds to know what verbal reasoning is (they dont do it at school) and to practice it a little.

I would start with CGP then move on to Bonds. CGP are easier and are available by age group.

We are not in the UK so will need to order online. I will start easier I think as it is all new. Are the Letts ones for CGP?

Letts, Bond and CGP are publishers.

GL and CEM are the actual test creators.

We found Letts to be great. They've updated all their books in the last 12 months. Exam Papers Plus material was also really good.
