DS 11 getting hurt by another y6 boy repeatedly today with a small branch

DS is 11 and Aspergers, he is very small in height. There's a new boy started at his school start year 6 and this boy according to DS keeps picking on him hitting him once a day and then telling people to come and laugh at DS. Today he used a stick / small tree branch which he knocked DS over with into flowerpots and he has got a 2 inch cut. I have raised things with school already and have sent an e-mail to Head today. DS says he is telling staff but they don't do much though think he may not know. The boy has a full-time TA and is supposed to be being watched all lunch and playtime but DS says he is often not. DS says he is expecting this boy to try and annoy him in SATS by shouting at him.

Just wondered if anyone had any advice. DS says he only targets him no one else, its probably as he is small and likes to be alone. Thanks very much. DS is quite gentle.
