What should I do?

I honestly feel awful even writing this but I am suspecting someone I know has pretended they are living elsewhere in order to get their child into the local primary school. I know they are out of the catchment as one of my friends lives nearer than them and did not get a place at the school - they have asked the school and it is correct no-one in that category got a place. I might be jumping to conclusions but I feel like this other person has faked their address and I don't want to be a grass but I just feel like its wrong for other children who actually live in the catchment that didn't get a place. It could be completely correct and they didn't actually put a fraudulent address. what would you do?

The child having SEN is honestly the only reason I can think myself, although I have met the DC on a few occasions they do not appear to have special needs from what I could see. I am also around a child constantly who was SEN though you would not realise until you spoke to them and even then you may be unaware.

Mumtryingherbest - yes, she had a phone call first to discuss, and to request additional supporting documentation. As her son didn't have a statement of SEN they wanted more evidence. It's good they took it seriously, but it took nearly two weeks to be resolved, and caused unimaginable stress.

Jajabinny - I guess it depends on the admissions criteria. There is no set catchment area. The local authority admission priority goes:
Adopted/looked after children
Social, emotional, medical, SEN
Siblings
Distance from school

I would say my friend lived just less than 1km away from the school. You practically have to live in the playground to get in.
