Hi

I have 3 girls aged 8,8 and 7. They have been doing maths whizz for almost a year and its been great BUT the kids need a fresh new online maths program for the summer holidays. We are away for 7 weeks and I want them to do 15 minutes a day of maths. (my one daughter is a year behind) Ideally a plug and play where they can get up and get on with it. They use lots of small maths apps games but something more structured. The fee isnt an issue. Any ideas?

perhaps Maths Seeds (by the people who make Reading Eggs)

It goes to roughly Y3. You can see what is covered here It's quite engaging, comes in roughly 20 minute lessons, each lesson includes the new topic, some practice, and some revision of previous topics. You can get the app (for free) for iPads (but not Android) or play on the computer, but either way you need to get a subscription. If you surf around a bit, you might be able to find a 5-week trial subscription.

Or MathsFactor. There are in fact summer 'holiday camps' on MathsFactor too, or you can just do a session/day. You get a (virtual) certificate/medal if you get your daily session 'tick' every day for 30 days, which can work as an incentive to not miss days even if you're busy.

Sorry to slightly highjack OP, but I'm looking for fun, interactive resources for writing and spelling.

Can completely recommend Maths Factor OP - fun videos, games, cumulative learning (DS just doing 3 x table and it has about 6 activities - 1 for each day, so he can learn as he goes along); revision camps, to go back over things they've forgotten and summer / winter camps to boost learning.
