Friend unfortunately didn't get first choice school so is intending to join the waiting list. Only criteria after looked after children siblings etc is distance. I know someone who did get her son's first choice but has changed her mind and wants to go to same school. She lives nearer so assume her son will be higher up the waiting list but just wondered if any weight given to fact my friend had put it down as first choice?
