A term's notice

Does a term's notice deadline to leave end at the end of term or start of the new term?

I.e., dds finished on 23rd march and return on 17th April. Have I missed the deadline for them to leave in July by not giving it at the end of term?

Assuming the office is open I'd say it's worth a shot, but you might be unlucky. Fingers crossed!

You still have time to give notice before the start of the new term

Check your contract. Our pre-school requires notice by the last 'open' day before the new term starts; so in other words, the last day before school holidays. But that's clearly specified in the contract.

It depends on the terms and conditions. Our current school specifies the first day of term but a previous one the last day of the previous term.

I'd say before 17th would be ok unless the term's and conditions specify otherwise.

Ours is the first day of the new term, although our business manager never submits the info untilthe week after in case any parents with miss the deadline and we don’t want them to be charged an extra term of fees.
