Playground "slang" - what is this expression/comment ?

I have no idea what this means - old fogey Mum here - all I know is it wasn't a compliment made to my DS - well if it was meant as a compliment my DS hasnt taken it that way :

apparently an older child told him " your Mum & Dad don't love you because you got burnt/burned so much when younger ?

To burn someone = to disrespect them, diss them

According to the Urban Dictionary, the phrase was made popular again recently by “That 70s Show”.

Could it be that? They are saying you don’t like him because people dissed him in the past?

Poor boy. Is he ok?
