If we accept our second choice, does it mean they are going to take us out the waiting list for our first choice school ? Thank you.i'm worried I made a mistake by accepting the second choice

No. The fact you have accepted the offered school does not affect your place on the waiting list for your first choice. It is worth phoning your council just to make sure as they don't always get the waiting list right. But you have the right to remain on the waiting list for your first choice school.

Find out you place on the waiting list for the first school. There can be a lot fo movement between National Offer Day and September. You have done the right thing.

You need to accept the second choice place as otherwise you have nowhere. Then you go onto the waiting list for the first choice (this may be automatic - it is in my area - check with your LA). Good luck!
