Dragon School

DD is starting reception at the Dragon in September and is a little bit sad that none of her friends from pre school will be coming too. I wondered whether anyone else might be in the same position and might be interested in a get together at a local playground before then so that the children know at least a couple of friendly faces on the first day. It would be lovely to hear from you if so.

Thanks in advance.

We're not but the school might organise something nearer the time? Might be worth asking them?

Good idea - thanks very much.

I’m sure the school will put on a few settling sessions before summer - that will be a great time to meet other parents in the same position as you

It’s a huge school isn’t it? I am sure the children make friends very quickly. Pre school “friends” are quickly forgotten. Mine went to prep without knowing anyone. They make friends quickly (and change them too!) Any previous friends (and children don’t really have them before 5 - the parents are your friends really) will soon be the past. If you were worried about this I guess you could have gone to a school where her “friends” were going.
