Hello Islington mums,
I was wondering if nursery children at William Tyndale get preference or automatical admission for Reception?
We are hoping to get a space for Reception but we're not eligible for the nursery, so wondering what our chances will be...
Thanks a lot!

Hi, it's not a faith school, so admissions into reception are done strictly on the usual criteria (looked after kids, SEN, siblings and then distance).

It's such a popular school that distance shrinks each year. This website will give you an idea of your chances:

No-one gets automatic entry to reception from any setting, you must apply.
Your application is then considered against the admission criteria. Looking online, and after children in care/ previously in care it is children of staff, siblings, free school meals eligible children, social and medical need, and then straight line distance.

That's for entry in Sep 19 btw.
