Dear All,
we are moving to the area and as my son will join Y06, i would prefer sending him to a prep where he can stay 3 years before the next change. Which ones should we consider?
Thank you

There are some great state schools in Dorking. I have a DD that has now left primary and is at an independent school in a nearby town. I believe Downsend in Leatherhead goes up to age 13.

The co-ed preps that go to 13 are Downsend and Belmont. However, some of the nearest private secondaries all have entry at 11+ eg. City of London Freemans, St John's Leatherhead, Boxhill, Reigate Grammar and Dunnottar. Epsom College may still be 13+. Some of the people who go to Belmont go on to schools further away such as boarding schools in Sussex. Downsend is going to change to go up to 16 but I'm not sure which year group.
Some of the state schools in the Dorking area are very good.

Feltonfleet (Cobham) and Milbourne Lodge (Esher) both go to 13.

Epsom now start at 11+.
