Westminster Under School waiting list - does it move?

Does anyone know whether the waiting list at WU (at 8+) ever moves? So upsetting my son has been waitlisted there and also at Kings Wimbledon. WU would be our first choice as an easy journey from our home; we would be thrilled to be offered Kings too although it will require a much longer commute.

I would be very grateful for any words of wisdom from parents who may have been through this agonising process. Does anyone have an offer at either of these schools (or know someone who does) that is likely not to accept?

The waitlist moves every year but not by much. There are always some parents who prefer St Paul’s or Kings for logistic and other reasons eg if boy is sporty and needs more space or siblings already there.
Good luck!

The list for sure will move but it depends how far up you are if you get an offer. A few parents get offer for their son but realise maybe he will not cope in such an intense academic school so they prefer some school like Kings or Sussex House. Also for logistics, boys in West London would be pointless to pass St Paul’s and go all the way to city of Westminster. Sporty boys usually prefer St. Paul’s. Or maybe some parents just prefer other schools or have siblings there.
Do not lose hope. Waiting list moves even at Westminster!

Drinking coffee, I am in the same situation. Have you had any movement? I am beginning to wonder if the 8+ waiting list ever move?
