Can I appeal 7+ result?

I got feedback from school, one subject score is extremely low. It is hard to believe.

Can I ask the school to re-check? Or are they able to show me the paper?

Thanks.

You can ask. They may or may not say yes.

Of course you can ask.

However, be prepared for a blanket no. And I would be staggered if they shared the paper with you.

Which school is it? Some give very specific feedback, others don’t.

Hopeful2000 · 25/01/2018 18:45

They sent through specific scores on both subjects. I have asked and now waiting for a reply

What would be the point if they have turned your dc down? Maybe he just didn't perform on the day.

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 25/01/2018 18:54

You are assuming they marked it incorrectly?

Hopeful2000 · 25/01/2018 19:41

Yes I’m assuming there might be a mistake.

They don't have to share your child's script with you. However, they do have to show you your child's marks and any comments written by the examiner. Of course, without her script that may not be enough to tell you whether or not a mistake has been made.

Your current school might have better luck asking (if they have a good relationship with the other school that is)

But even if you were to prove a mistake it may not get your child a place and even if you reapplied later you may well be remembered as "that parent" and rejected.
