Private schoool for DS age 6

We’re looking to move DS from his current school. I’m worried about the cohort, state education generally (cuts, lack of opportunities, narrow curriculum), and how they are dealing with him individually.

He is a very bright child, but also very anxious. His father died 3 years ago. He was very happy in foundation but this year his anxiety has increased and he isn’t excelling as he was. He gets very worried about being told off or getting things wrong and so doesn’t ask the teacher if he isn’t sure of something... the teacher has only ever taught the top end of primary and it is a very difficult class. DS is bumbling a long ticking all the boxes so she’s not worried.
Anyway, I’m babbling. I’ve been very stressed about it and we’ve been looking around locally. I want the opportunities and the individual focus that a private school can bring. But I also want to make sure that he gets the emotional support he needs.
Does anyone have any experience of Wiltshire/Berkshire schools such as St Francis in Pewsey, or St Gabriel’s in Newbury? Or any other local ones I haven’t discovered?
Thanks

Pewsey and Newbury are very quite a distance apart, but there are a whole raft of other schools round Newbury including Cheam, Horris Hill, Thorngrove, Brockenhurst and Elstree. All very different and you need to visit them.

If you're asking about specific schools, you'd get more responses if you put the names of the schools/area in the title.

Thanks @Ginmummy1 I'll do that.

If I lived in the area I'd send my children to Farleighs or Cothill based on reputation, the delightful children they produce and the facilities they have
