Bullying - anyone up for a mutual support thread?

As the title would suggest, we are in the midst of dealing with dd being bullied at school by another girl. She didn't want to go back in today and I walked away from leaving her there in tears myself. Much of the Christmas break has been dominated by the stress the whole family is under from it. The latest, is that the bully's parents are now complaining dd isn't including her in games - this despite school assuring dd she doesn't have to play with this girl and they understand why she wouldn't want to. School's response has been to say we should meet with bully's mother . We are deeply uncomfortable with this idea, not least because I reported her to school a few years ago for some deeply unpleasant comments I heard her saying about a SEN child in front of her child.
Anyone else reluctantly sent a child in today and wants to talk or just empathise with each other? I'm off to work now but will be back on later.
