SCIENCE TAUGHT DISCREETLY ???

Just got the latest school letter for the new term. There has been one page in the science book since September and a few parents raised it with the teacher. I think science is fun and is essential at primary school. But now it says this.....

Science continues to be taught discreetly and this term we continue to explore Magnets and Springs and Health and Nutrition.

What does that mean? The teacher still doesn't teach it so says it is taught so discreetly that no one notices? I want to contact the school so I seek comments first. Be kind to me!

Typo. They mean 'discretely', which means it's taught as a separate subject (i.e. not lumped in with their topic on Romans or whatever.)

mrsbadger is right. They've spelt it incorrectly which is crap but they mean it's being taught separately. The lack of work in their books would have me questioning it though

Now you have got me thinking I haven't read it correctly myself..need to check tomorrow. I just scanned it and felt my blood boil so I need to check before I rant!

Just to play devils advocate. If they're doing lots of practical science there may not be lots recorded in books. Which year group? 3?

I've heard some schools are now using 'floorbooks' for science where the whole class' work is recorded together.
