Does your school have a car boot sale?

If so, do you have any other 'attractions' there or just the stalls?

Or shool used to have them, they used to have a bouncy castle and food/ice cream too. Oh and a public toilet

We have one around the edge of the school field at the Summer fair, so I guess that's s bit different.

The most difficult thing for us is stopping the car booters from coming in and buying all the toy stall from unwitting sellers then flogging it themselves at vastly inflated prices!

Our high school usually do an annual one in the grounds of the village hall. Two ladies make home-made sausage rolls in the kitchen and then bring them out to sell to the buyers/sellers. I tell you when you have been standing about freezing for ages without many sales they are bliss.

We are having bacon butties and drinks on sale but we were thinking of having a bouncy slide that we'd charge so much for 3 goes (thought it would be safer than a million kids bouncing on a castle).

Just wondering if anyone else did this and how it worked.

This year we are havign a "for sale " pages thing.

Less hassle.

Gobbledigook · 23/04/2007 14:13

Oooh, that's a good idea. So you just produce a brochure that people pay £x to advertise in? Do you charge for it or do you just distribute it for free and how do you do that (i.e. at summer fair or just any old random day?)

pay to advertise, can't remember if you have to pay to buy it.

£1 per advert.

Twas my idea.

UtterPigsty · 23/04/2007 14:15

oh out in May.

Gobbledigook · 23/04/2007 14:15

Our PTA has a fete with bric a brac, home baking, beat the goalie, ice cream, BBQ, face painting, bouncy castle, guess the name of the teddy etc etc

This year we're also seeing if anyone would like the pay £20 for the pleasure of having a stall and advertising their event.
