leaving gift for teacher

my son has the loveliest teacher but sadly she will soon be leaving the school. The children all adore her and are so upset she is going. We would like to give her a really heartfelt & special gift to show just how grateful we are to her for everything she has done. But are struggling for ideas of something that would be appreciated amidst the usual wine/chocolates/biscuits type gifts that are given at this time of year.
If anyone has any suggestions for something either just from us or from the class as a whole, it would be really appreciated. The kids are aged between 6-8. Thanks

clarins is a nice idea thanks. i was looking online late last night & an idea came to me but i'm not sure if its a bit corny - I wondered about doing a photobook with a picture of each child in the class (with parents permission of course) & alongside each photo a small quote from the child about what they like best about their teacher or what they will miss most about her. what do you think?

The photo book is a lovely idea! I'm leaving my class at Xmas ( I love them but I hate our new academy trust and what it's doing to them). I'd love a memento of them all like that.

I would always stay away from body care/make up products unless you know the recipient is using a specific brand.

We (as in all parents) gave DD's teacher one year a set of decent upmarket pens and a photobook with pictures and quotes from the children. But make sure you have each parent's permission to do it.
