K'nexperience - has anyone had this in their school?

I've no idea whether this was purely marketing by K'nex, or whether the primary school paid for it, but either way ds1 (yr5) had a fantastic time today.

A lady came in and brought 12 large boxes of K'nex - one for each table (two classes), and they had all afternoon to create fairground rides/attractions working in pairs. DS1 had a brilliant time and came home buzzing about it. His pair won the competition for his class, and they will each get a small K'nex kit to bring home. But they will also be getting a huge box of K'nex for the yeargroup to use during wet playtimes

I think my DS1, year 3 had this as well and had an excellent time. Again, not sure if it was a marketing thing- don't think so in that we do get a lot of Team Elite/ Club Francais etc stuff come home in DS's school bag, but nothing re K'nex. Perhaps it was working on the idea of pester-power!

Our school have just bought knex for wet play, but I don't think they have had anyone in.

My dd9 and ds11 have always loved knex since they were about 3 or 4, we have a big box of it that comes out on a regular basis.

I used to run a k'nex club. It was really popular.

this is what it is

It's heavily sponsored, and as far as I can tell is free to the schools.

Primary teachers - if you haven't heard of this before, you might be interested to sign up for next year.
