My daughters TA asked her to clean her vomit - my daughter is 8yrs old and was coughing badly when in the bathroom and vomited. she went and told her TA what happened. She took her back to the toilet asked her to clean the vomit that it is not her job. I feel so angry about this and just worried I am at the point of over reacting

If a child vomits in school then they are not allowed to stay. If she had genuinely vomited you should have had a phone call asking for her to be collected. You should also have been told to keep her away from school (this should be 48 hours but some schools bend the rules and say 24). If neither of those things happened then she probably did not vomit.

At our school only the cleaning staff are meant to clean up bodily fluids because they have the proper equipment and protective clothing. If I cleaned up vomit and then got ill myself I would actually be reprimanded unless I had put on gloves, disposable apron etc. Maybe the TA was responsible for a class and couldn't leave them to find the necessary equipment......

You sound way way ott in my opinion. Go in and be that parent but I hope you re not expecting an apology because you'll be disappointed

Seriously, you won't get the whole conversation from a child. An adult probably wouldn't remember word for word either. What was the tone? Sharp? Jocular? Matter of fact? Are you in the UK? I don't know what a welfare teacher is.
