Hi
Which keyboards do your DC use? DS borrowed an Neo Alphasmart but it would be better if he could use something without spelling help or a maths app, as they assist him in mucking about!
Thanks

Currently an iPad and Bluetooth keyboard. He usually uses a standard word processing app, but also has clicker. Clicker will read back his work which he finds quite helpful, it also has various predictive text options and the ability for the teacher to add "word banks" of words related to the current topic.

I was worried that the iPad would be a bit too distracting, but actually that's not been much of a problem. The school use iPads in the class quite a bit so it also doesn't stand out too much, which DS likes.

Prior to that he tried a laptop, that was less sucessful as he was always behind the screen, it was a bit of a barrier to him taking part in the lessons/group work. It wasn't helped by being an old one with a very short battery life, so he often ended up on his own in the corner as the only place he could plug it in.
