Reading Planet Comet Street Kids

Can anyone tell me if these are banded the same way as ORT? Or do they not have the same colour banding?

DT1 is in Y1 and came home with her first stage book of the term and it is a Rising stars reading planet one (comet street kids red (2A)). I have never had one of these home before though so not sure about it. She read it very easily though without any sounding out.

Now she finished reception on stage 4 so if she has moved back two levels then I am slightly concerned as she is reading stages 4 and 5 easily at home.

Help please.

Does this table help at all?

It seems to have coloured bands that match "normal" book band progression?

Yes it does thanks. I couldn't see that on googling.
When questioned she said she had not done any reading at school but she is doing the graphemes and split digraphs in level 4 (blue) so i'm now even more confused as to why she has been given a red band.

Hey ho. I will ask tomorrow when I see her teacher. She was just a bit upset about the fact that DT2 got a stage 7 book (ORT turquoise one) and they are in the same bloody phonics group!

It's so tricky isn't it? My two have always had a big discrepancy between what they can do at home and what they do at school.
If it's any consolation, it all evens out an awful lot by juniors! Doesn't mean I've not worried about things any less second time around!
