We've just moved to London. Can I ask anyone who has a child at The Gower School Islington if they'd recommend it in the older years? Also if they get good results for independent schools at 11+?
thanks v much!

Hello, I have met people who have been very happy at Gower - however their children were still quite young.

There's a completely terrifying thread here but I'm not sure how helpful that is.

Thanks so much. Yes I found the thread worrying too so thought I'd try a new post to see if anyone had a different opinion? Fingers crossed!! XSmile

I know someone with a child in the lower school and they are happy with it.

There's a list of leavers' destinations on the website.

We know a family whose child went through the school and she had a fabulous time. The parents say she was prepared really very well for exams, they really took care of her and her confidence. I can't speak for others, but I'd say check the school out and trust (your) gut. Don't be to lead by anything written on mumsnet, including me. Until you see for yourself you can't really know.

I have 2 children at The Gower School and would not recommend it. We personally have had no major problems but that is rare. Incredibly bad management which affects the children. I will move my children just waiting for a place to open up. The other thread on this website i would say is 90 percent true.
