Hi

Please help! We are relocating to Plymouth... Peverell to be precise. I am desperately trying to sort out Primary schools for my two boys. They will be needing year 2 and year 4. The closest school is full and no chance of them getting in (Hyde Park) so we need to look further a field. However, I have literally no clue on areas to avoid! It was implied to me the there are quite a few undesirable schools... please somebody help.. Confused

Have the local authority given you a list of schools with spaces?

They have to find you something, but the spaces don't have to be in the same school I'm afraid.

If necessary, you could get the year 2 into a school you like and appeal for the older - a Year 4 appeal has more chance of being successful than a year 2, especially if the latter is ICS (30 in the class).

This may help you decide.
My ds goes to Prince Rock.it is a good school, but you would have to drive there from peverell.

Holy cross is also a good school,it would also be a fairly straight forward drive from peverell.it has good ofstead reports.

Montpelier school is in beacon park which isn't far from peverell, but I'm not sure if it's a great school.
