DS2 is having his 1st day in reception today. He was crying last night but went in fine this morning which was a relief. I have been sweating for weeks over it as we are not impressed with the school (DS1 also there) and the wheels came off at the end of last term... 2 issues. 1 related to IT and safeguarding and the other we asked the school about something, DP went to meet the HT about it and HT came out with a pile of cobblers that has never been mentioned about DS1 at 4 years of parents evening ( we have always been told he was happy, had lots of friends, doing fine academically and is enthusiastic - suddenly HT says we are risking his mental health - he is anxious, struggles to make friends and overly competitive!!). We asked people we know who know DS1 and they all reassured us it is cobblers.
I have sweating about today on and off all over the summer. We have considered moving schools but it would involve going private (£) or long commute (35 mins each way) to state school so decided to sit it out for now.
..... It feels like a long day.

How did he get on Sheep? Hope he had a good day and both DC are able to thrive despite previous issues
