I'm so anxious/nervous...I've taken a kalm, but I feel butterflies just thinking about it. In one way I know it's a great thing, as it's a lovely school and I'm sure my son will be happy, but on the other hand my baby who has just turned 4 is off to school! How is it possible that time has gone so fast?

He'll have loads of fun. Reception isn't like school proper, it's all playing as far as DC are concerned. (Yet mysteriously they come out of it reading and writing!)
Does he start with a full day or do they have a settling in period?
What will you be doing while he's there, do you have to work, or time to treat yourself/younger kids?

He'll love it.

Unless you are providing trays of jelly to play with, glitter, pirate ships in the water, dressing up etc every day then he's going to blown away by all the fun he can have!

Honestly, most reception children can't believe their luck.

Deep breaths. It will be fine. I got dd a little treat she chose a present from our local toy shop after she had completed her first week in reception. It was something for her to look forward to and I think it helped her through her first week.
