'All Class Party' WWYD?

I know school hasn't even started yet, but my DC1 starts school next week and his birthday is fairly early on in the school year and I want to get his party booked quite soon. So my question is - his year group is a 45 intake, split over 2 classes. I know they spend a lot of time outside where all the children are together - so should I be planing a party for both classes or just stick to his class of 23?

I really don't know what the etiquette is around this? Confused

Thanks so much everyone

I was expecting other parents to stay because they wouldn't be comfortable leaving iykwim - but wouldn't mind if they left.

The hall I'm thinking of is big so space isn't an issue. I was thinking the disco element would also be entertainment along with some traditional party games

Party 'bags' I was going to do a book and sweet cone ( I have a family member that make them - so just the cost of sweets)

I also have a family member that regularly does buffet style catering for parties and would help with that.

I'll stick with just his class and if he mentions anyone from the other class specifically then

And I'll get a lot of wine in for the evening when it's finished Confused

Sounds perfect OP. In my experience coffee and tea and a plate of biscuits for the parents always go down well with plenty of seats round the edge of the room!
