Fossil hunting in Scotland

We are currently holidaying in Scotland. My ds's prime interest is fossil hunting. We normally go to Waterloo and Brora.

Are there any other place for recommendations?
We are staying near Aviemore, but willing to go anywhere within day trip locations.

We have been fossil hunting near my PILs who live near Portmahomack. It's about an hour north of Aviemore. Beach is called Rockhaven. There is also the Tarbat Discovery Centre which has lots of archeological information. Storehouse of Foulis, just south of there, has lovely food and local delicacies!

Thank you, weebarra. We will have a look and definitely go there.

We have been to Portmahomack today. It was a lovely town. We didn't get into fossil hunting since it was full tide(our fault for not checking!), but beach was beautiful and had lots of fun, and we enjoyed exploring around lighthouse and Tarbat Discovery Centre. Such a beautiful place, we will definitely go back again to explore more around the area.
Thank you for your recommendation.
