Which Primary Schools between Northallerton, Darlington and Richmond?

We live almost equidistant between Northallerton, Darlington and Richmond. We've only recently moved to the area and I'm trying to get my head around primary schools for DS (he's 3, so not urgent but on my mind). Ideally would like a state school but we are open to private. We want a school with a lovely community feel, well regarded academically and good facilities ( just the run of the mill high expectation Grin).

Any locals with opinions to share? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Kimni, my son will be starting at Croft Primary this September which is between Northallerton and Darlington, it's a lovely small school rated Outstanding (albeit from an Ofsted several years old), there is a new head there now who seems to have new ideas and a fresh approach. PM if you would like more info as we used to live in Darlington, my parents live near Northallerton and i work in Richmond so know the area quite well.
